  • Led the modernization efforts for our legacy Hybrid stack to a more containerized, automated environment. Worked with Devs to containerize GoLang and Python applications. Making sure image build pipelines successfully complete along with the deployment process to EKS/AKS clusters. Managed IAC with Terraform and Ansible. Creating and managing TF modules, the deployments of them, and managing of the statefiles, to creating and managing Ansible playbooks for the provision of created nodes/EC2 and more.

Devops Engineer

SRE at ECS
March 2021 - December 2021
  • Worked after hours to help modernize the environment. To go from on prem bare metal servers to AWS. Worked to create Jenkins instance from scratch deployed on infcloud. Troubleshooting. Provisioned new instances with scripts to setup monitoring tags for Nagios and other mission critical apps and helped users troubleshoot Perforce

Lead Devops Engineer

SRE at ECS
February 2021 - February 2022
  • Built and maintained AWS public and gov clouds. Public side used terraform to build infrastructure resources, used ansible playbooks to configure EC2 resources. VPC management. Built pipelines for certain applications that were built in docker and deployed to EKS. Worked with developers to manage troubleshooting of those applications that were built in java and python. Monitored metrics with cloudwatch. Managed tasking for my team and setting up work for upcoming sprints.

Devops Engineer

Publicis Sapient
August 2020 - December 2021

Devops Engineer

FEBRUARU
January 2019 - March 2020
  • Built and maintained infrastructure and pipelines for teams across the engineering set. Worked with teams to create pipelines for their application and work alongside for continuous deployment of new features. Also maintained infrastructure within AWS and on-prem

Site Reliability engineer

Global Science & Tech
March 2015 - July 2018
  • Here I managed a hybrid environment. Managed bare-metal vcenter Stack. Always managing failing drives, adding storage where needed, making sure DBs for Vcenter were backed up, packaged, and sent to our other location over wire at night. Along with all VMs that sat on this cluster that were mission critical, while also handing the manual networking of our Sonicwalls, Cisco Switches and Aruba WAPs. Also managing AWS and Azure. Provisioned, troubleshot all our EC2s and VMs and other cloud resources that held our web application together.

Desktop/Imaging engineer

General Dynamics GDIT
February 2014 - March 2015
  • * Built, maintained, and scaled infrastructure for Dev, QA and Production environments within commercial AWS & Azure and those Gov Cloud accounts * Containerized multiple applications that were deployed into AWS/Azure, stored in ACR or ECR and deployed to AKS/EKS and Rancher based upon project needs. Container deployment structured using Helm or deployment yamls * Responsible for troubleshooting container creation through dockerfile locally and through CICD and placed in container repository. Also, with deployment onto EKS/AKS/Rancher Clusters. Troubleshooting issues that arise with helm deployments, services, container state, etc. * Managed Kubernetes environments spread across EKS, AKS, Rancher, and Rafay. Upgrading and maintaining components on the kube-plane, taking backups of etcd and more and moving up to node holding infrastructure * Created and managed gold AMIs and lifecycles with Packer and terraform. When those were not an option, used Ansible, Chef and little use of puppet for instance/VM/Bare metal configuration. * Built VPCs, EBS volumes, IAM users and roles and other main resources through UI and Terraform and is some situations CloudFormation for projects with that deployment already in place. Managed those resources through S3 backed Statefile if deployed with Terraform with "least privilege" mindset for all created. * Mindful monitoring of all AWS/Azure resources. Monitored if the current instance/vm size were sufficient or not for applications and services running through them and would adjust the resource as needed. * Configured auto-scaling groups for Singular EC2, ECS and EKS clusters. Configuring triggers based off CPU usage, disk space. * Isolates defects in EC2 instances, VPC and clusters and resolves them with the help of Splunk logging and Prometheus Grafana for resource monitoring and other troubleshooting techniques whether it be networking focused or top layer to OS level * Created Docker images for specific services needed for builds in Jenkins pipelines
