Developer Advocate

CTO.ai
March 2022 - May 2023
  • I worked on several activities, such as technical content creation, webinars, and creating technical tutorials for DevOps users. Some of the milestones achieved at this Canadian SaaS startup and responsibilities: Deployed new environments for demonstration purposes into different cloud providers, such as AWS (EC2), DigitalOcean, and GCP, using tools like CDK for Terraform on CloudFormation and programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, and Go. This material was used as documentation to guide new users who wanted to use the Platform for the first time. Published many blog posts on communities. One of these was a comparative analysis of the product from the company vs. Jenkins. I also analyzed OpenShift vs. Kubernetes to combine the benefits of using Kubernetes and the company's platform. These initiatives increased the brand awareness in tech communities, which generated more leads interested in the product, an average of 50% more leads.

DevOps Engineer

IBM
October 2018 - March 2022
  • Experience with a multi-cultural team based in the USA with a worldwide IBM internal application. Some of the milestones achieved and responsibilities: Developed a Python web crawler that automated the application's tests to verify if all services were up and running, saving time by reducing the team's workload from a full day to 20 minutes of test execution and providing a higher deployment success rate. Designed and implemented Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to eliminate manual testing and deployment of a service-oriented application in a Linux environment. Integrated PagerDuty and Slack for pipeline build status notifications, allowing multiple teams to receive fast notifications on Slack and act upon errors on builds. Some other tools used are OpenShift, Ansible, IBM Cloud, and Selenium.

Implemented a dashboard using JavaScript, D3.JS, and Chart.JS libraries to visualize a large amount of data on a web application, allowing users to monitor financial data updates. Designed and implemented REST APIs for an application. Front-end: JavaScript, VueJS, and Cypress for unit tests. Back-end: Microservices Architecture. NodeJS, SQL on DB2, Test Driven Development (TDD) for tests, Loopback v3 and v4, Docker and Kubernetes.

Software Engineer Intern

Donnelley Financial Solutions
November 2017 - October 2018
  • Development of web applications. Some of my tasks involved: Worked with integration tests for a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). Hosted meetings with clients to collect the artifacts and user stories to define and design the system's rules with diagrams. Developed solutions using VBScript, Selenium, MySQL, and Perl to automate processes. JavaScript, C#, VueJS, React, and MVC architecture are other programming languages and tools used.
